The 42-year-old Billy On The Street star was chosen to star in the first romantic comedy produced by a major studio that will feature two male protagonists.
The actor will also co-write and be the executive producer of Bros for Universal Pictures, the studio announced on Friday.

Eichner used social media to celebrate development and what it means for the queer community in Hollywood.
