New hair, new Billie.
On Wednesday, Billie Eilish shocked fans by showing off a new platinum blonde, furry hairstyle, abandoning the neon green roots she had since 2019.
“Pinch me,” the 19-year-old singer captioned an Instagram photo debuting her lighter look.
Although the color was a complete surprise to his followers, fans of the young star had been waiting for a big change for some time; in December, she announced plans to change her subscription and start “a new era” after her documentary “Billie Eilish: The World A Little Blurry”.
However, she also jokingly threatened to suspend new music, unless speculation about her appearance stopped: “I’m making you an album a king,” she said in an Instagram Story in December. “I won’t launch if you keep making fun of my hair.”
Eagle-eyed fans anticipated that Eilish would reveal something soon, as many speculated that she appeared to wear a wig at the 2021 Grammy and methodically covered her scalp in recent photos.
Eilish settled in his green and black mullet by accident; after desperately trying to get rid of a blue dye, she covered it with black and dyed the roots green – but an overdose of chemicals burned some of the ends, leaving the “Therefore I Am” singer with an unwitting trend in mullet fashion .
