OOn the night of January 7, an entire day after an army of Trump fanatics – by order of the president – invaded the United States Capitol on a mission to overthrow the government, threatening congressmen and killing a police officer in the process, Kellyanne Conway issued a disjointed statement on twitter. In it, one of Trump’s most loyal and semi-trusted advisers condemned the events as “outrageous and inexcusable”, followed by the comical lie that his former boss “denounced the violence, acknowledged the certified election results and committed to a ‘transfer of power ‘for the Biden-Harris administration ”.
The absurdly false claim was met with an almost universal eyebrow raised, even by Kellyanne’s own teenage daughter, who said to her mother (via TikTok): “How do you feel about your army becoming a demonstrator?”
Well, Kellyanne – who once invented a terrorist attack in the “Bowling Green Massacre” – visited Real time with Bill Maher on Friday night for your 19º debut of the season. Kellyanne and Maher have a history of intimacy that dates back to the ABC program Politically Incorrect, and, perhaps because she can no longer be useful, the comedian finally conducted a (half) challenging interview with the professional and lying obfuscator (between smiles and yuk-yuks, of course).
After joking about his swearing suit, Kellyanne confessed that she tried to send a message to Trump on January 6, while his followers (again, in his incitement) were invading the United States Capitol while he was doing absolutely nothing.
“I wish the president had spoken to the people earlier to get them out,” offered Conway, adding, “I was able to speak to him. I said to the person next to them, ‘Please add my name to the chorus of people who just say: you have to tell them to leave. I don’t know what they are doing, why they are there, but tell them to leave. “
Then Maher countered, “You must admit that the reason they were there is because he never granted the election.”
“Well, I did it a long time ago,” replied Conway, somewhat empty. “I think the real disappointment for people like me is that the last two months, say from November 6 to January 6, were not spent mainly talking about achievements, reviewing achievements. He built the biggest economy we had. ”
“Well, they are no better now! Many of them are dead.“

Yes, although Kellyanne wished the last two months of Trump’s election were spent admiring his (sparse) list of alleged accomplishments, the time would have been much better spent trying to contain a deadly pandemic that Trump and his minions helped to develop. to their inaction – which has already claimed about 400,000 lives and driven millions into poverty.
