After being blocked by @POTUS on Twitter for years during Donald Trump’s presidency, Chrissy Teigen was officially re-followed now that Joe Biden has been sworn in and has taken control of the account.
Teigen, was in Washington, DC, with her husband John Legend and their children during the inauguration, tweeted on Wednesday morning, “hello @joebiden, I was blocked by the president for four years, can I get a follow-up, please.”
Later that night, Teigen became one of the account’s 12 followers, mainly including White House accounts like First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield.
The White House’s Digital Strategy Director Rob Flaherty then tweeted the meme, “How did it all start vs. How is it going ”along with a screenshot of Teigen’s request for @POTUS to follow and a screenshot of the following list.
“My heart, my God, lmao, I can finally see the president’s tweets and they probably won’t be confused,” she tweeted in response. “I should probably never tweet again.”
Legend performed during the Celebrating America special on Wednesday night, and according to Teigen’s social accounts, they arrived on Tuesday for the rehearsal. Teigen also shared a series of photos with members of the National Guard, the National Mall and in front of the Lincoln Memorial.
In a long caption on Instagram, Teigen wrote about how happy he was that Trump was stepping down, saying “The story won’t be kind to you, you absolute psychopath. But I never was. “
“Today our great national shit is over, but the shame will last forever. with 2 impeachments, the creation of 3 million fewer jobs, 403,000 deaths, a low record approval rate and God knows how many crimes, we can officially say that Donald J Trump is the biggest being the worst ”, wrote Teigen. “Maybe it was not such a good idea to have a guy with a rare steak with ketchup powered by intelligence to feed a lamp that doesn’t even know how to close an umbrella ruling the country.”
In July 2017, Trump blocked Teigen after she tweeted to him “Lolllll, nobody likes you.”
