Biden says migrants ‘don’t come’ to the US as the border crisis escalates

President Biden is now asking migrants who plan to embark for the United States not to come.

During an interview with ABC News that airs on Wednesday’s “Good Morning America”, Biden was asked by George Stephanopoulos whether it was a “mistake” by his administration not to “anticipate” the increase on the southern border after the 2020 presidential election.

Biden responded by pointing to other outbreaks on the border in 2019 and 2020, but Stephanopolous stepped back, saying “this could be worse”.

“Here’s the deal: we’re sending people back,” insisted Biden before dismissing his critics, who accuse him of encouraging migrants during the election for when he takes office.

“Do you have to say clearly ‘don’t come?'” Asked Stephanopoulos.

“Yes, I can say quite clearly: don’t come,” replied Biden, adding later: “Don’t leave your city or community.”

Thousands of migrant children are arriving at the border and being placed in various facilities, although the White House still insists that the overwhelming increase is not a “crisis”.
