Bella Thorne says Disney forces children’s stars to be impossibly perfect

Bella Thorne called the former Disney employer ‘wrong’ for making her young stars look impossibly ‘perfect’.

The often controversial actress / singer, 23, spoke about the unique ‘pressure’ to find fame at such a young age during an interview with Fox News, telling the network that fitting into the mold was ‘always difficult’ for her.

“There is definitely a lot of pressure on Disney’s eyes to be so perfect and I think that’s where Disney, in a way, goes wrong, because they make their kids look perfect,” explained Thorne.

‘This image is very difficult. I never did, either, ”Thorne continued. ‘I always like to do everything that no one else is doing.’

The rebel star – whose career has included directing pornography, selling his own cannabis Forbidden Flowers line and maintaining a very profitable and sassy OnlyFans account – said young people need more realistic models to learn about real life.

‘Young children don’t need to see perfect people. Children need to see what is real. They need to see diversity, they need to see the intriguing, ‘said Thorne, who recently compared himself to troubled pop star Britney Spears, also a former Disney student.

Thorne, who reached fame at just 13 years on the Disney Channel show Shake It Up, was open about his personal struggles, before sharing his experience with physical and sexual abuse.

In 2018, she revealed her Instagram experience, saying she was abused ‘since the day [she] I can remember ‘until I was 14 years old. She did not name the attacker.

Bella further explored her trauma in her 2019 poetry book, The Life Of A Wannabe Mogul: Mental Disarray, something she says has had an equally profound impact on her and her fans.

‘People who are real talk about real things. I think that was much more important than my image. Disney’s image was much less important, ‘said Thorne.

‘My life has changed in many incredible ways [since writing the book.] Now, when fans come to me, they don’t always say, “I love you from this movie, from that movie.” They say, ‘Oh my God, I read your book and I connected a lot with it because of this terrible time.’

‘They tell me these stories and we connect. Usually, we both cry a little and hug. The book healed me of those beautiful moments when I can be fully present, ‘she continued.

Bella was also willing to embrace her sexuality during her post-Disney career.

‘I feel very confident in my sexuality,’ said Thorne, also thanking her ‘colleagues and fans’ for supporting her after she became pansexual in 2019.

Always entrepreneurial, she is also monetizing her sex appeal, launching her OnlyFans page in August, charging $ 20 per month, $ 51 for a three-month subscription or $ 102 for six months.

Thorne was reportedly the first content creator on the platform to earn $ 1 million in the first 24 hours, after briefly disrupting the site.

She told the Los Angeles Times that she earned $ 2 million in the first week and is “investing the earnings in her production company and in charities”.

Bella had already won the Vision Award at the second annual Pornhub Awards last October, after her debut as a director in adult films.
