Bar Moorhead separates from singer Har Mar Superstar after accusations of sexual assault

MOORHEAD – Harold’s on Main parted ways with co-owner Sean Tillmann, the Twin Cities singer better known as Har Mar Superstar, after hearing about allegations of sexual assault against him.

The Moorhead bar, 1330 Main Ave., posted on Facebook on Friday morning, March 26:

“At Harold’s, we believe in women. We take the accusations against our business partner Sean Tillmann very seriously. Upon learning of these charges last week, we quickly asked for Sean’s resignation and immediate resignation from our business. “

Complaints against Tillmann began to surface in the twin cities on social media last week, and on Thursday, March 25, a statement from “a collective of survivors” was posted on Twitter.

Also on Thursday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune released more details about the charges.

“Three women gave detailed reports to the Star Tribune about incidents of aggression or harassment from 2014 to 2017, saying that Tillmann aggressively proposed them for sex and improperly grabbed or touched them,” says the story.

On Thursday night, Tillmann issued a statement and admitted “harmful, abusive and selfish conduct” but denied a 2016 sexual assault charge.

Tillmann has been involved since the opening of Harold’s in 2019 and occasionally performed at the bar, as well as at The Aquarium in downtown Fargo.

At live shows, the singer often took off his underwear and jumped out of the crowd to dance.
