Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson distrusts potential first snow game against Buffalo Bills

OWINGS MILLS, Maryland – Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has never played a game in the snow, and he doesn’t want that streak to end in the AFC divisional playoff game on Saturday in Buffalo against the Bills.

Asked about his experience playing in the snow, Jackson said, “Zero. Saturday would be my first time playing football in the snow, if that happens. I hope it doesn’t.”

As of Tuesday, there is a 40% chance of snow showers at Bills Stadium on Saturday night. The accumulation can reach 2.5 centimeters.

Jackson, who grew up in South Florida, said he remembers when he first saw snow during his time in Louisville.

“We had a snowball fight,” said Jackson, “so it’s totally different from playing in it.”

Initial point guard Bradley Bozeman echoed Jackson’s feelings about playing a postseason game in the snow.

“Great guys in slippery situations are not always a good thing,” said Bozeman.

Jackson, the current NFL MVP, could wear a glove in Buffalo, but it wouldn’t be for reasons related to the weather. He wore a glove on his left hand in the second half of the Ravens’ 20-13 victory as a wild card over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday because he shook his thumb.

“I’m fine,” said Jackson.

Jackson was not listed in the Ravens’ injury report on Tuesday, when the team did a general inspection.
