BALTIMORE (WJZ) – A Baltimore police intern arrested over the weekend for harassing and threatening three women is no longer in the department.

Jordan Ali posted bail after being charged with seven crimes, in addition to a series of traffic violations.

Along Pratt Street, very early on Saturday morning, prosecution documents say that 22-year-old Baltimore police intern Jordan Ali found three women in a car parked beside him at a traffic light.

According to the statement of probable cause, the women told Ali that they were going to a party. He said he wanted to get in, they said they didn’t want him to participate. It was at this time, court records say, that Ali began to follow them, eventually crashing their car with his own and confronting them again when they stopped at a Royal Farms gas station.

A witness told police that Ali, without a uniform, showed them a fake FBI badge and gestured to a gun on his hip. Witnesses said Ali also told them to “freeze”.

The women finally went to the emergency room at Johns Hopkins Bayview, calling 911 on the way. When they arrived, billing documents indicate that the women told a doctor what was going on and that they were afraid.

Baltimore police arrived and started questioning the two groups. In the end, Ali was fired.

“First of all, thank the police commissioner’s team for moving immediately to dismiss this police officer or probation officer,” said Mayor Brandon Scott.

The mayor said being transparent about what happens inside the agency is how the city will regain confidence in the police.

“We are renovating our department through the consent decree, through efforts in Annapolis and we will build trust by working with the community and taking action when we see things like that,” said Scott.

Ali told police that he was following the women because he thought the car had been stolen and assumed they were using drugs.

The Public Ministry is handling the case. Ali is due to return to court next month, but for now, he is out of prison on $ 250,000 bail.
