“Almost 100%, Em and I just saw a UFO crash straight from the sky on our way home from dinner … we stopped, looked at each other and asked if any of us saw it … Ball of light too brilliant going straight from the sky towards Lake Travis. Has anyone else witnessed this? “Mayfield wrote.

Emily Mayfield was also not sure what she saw, tweeting “What. It was. That. In. Austin. Texas.”

Mayfield appeared to be in Texas when he saw the alleged UFO, but it is unclear what he could have seen.

“March is the slowest month of the year for meteor activity,” according to the American Meteor Society. There are no major meteor showers, except “some night fireballs that appear to peak at this time of year, seen from the northern hemisphere.”

There didn’t seem to be any rocket launches at this time of night. The SpaceX SN10 spacecraft was launched and exploded after landing.
