Bachelorette party contestant Brendan Morais ‘doesn’t regret’, but is still ‘sad’ about his early departure

The bachelor party contestant Brendan Morais “does not regret” having chosen to leave the season of Tayshia Adam in the penultimate episode.

The reality show’s suitor, 31, said that although he was “confident” in his decision, he is still “absolutely sad that this is how things happened” while appearing on Tuesday’s episode of Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files.

Morais decided to leave the show earlier after realizing that he was not yet ready for a relationship after the divorce.

Adams is now engaged to winner Zac Clark.

“I want a wife, children and a family more than anything on earth,” he told Bachelor Nick of the 21st season.

‘But then [I’ve been] coming to the conclusion that there is a large part of me that is still broken, there is a large part of me that still needs time to heal. There is a big part of me that needs time to grow. ‘

He also reflected on the pressure of being in such an isolated environment, saying to Viall: ‘I feel that if I had more time and could have removed Tayshia from that [show] bubble and really see how our lives combined … we could have a boyfriend, and potentially more.

‘But when you’re protecting yourself and you don’t want to get hurt again, you do things that sabotage what could be an incredible thing. So I definitely think it could have happened differently if some things had changed. ‘

While he said he is happy with the way he ‘stayed true’ to himself during the show, he said he would like to allow himself to be more open, emotionally.

‘[I] I have some regrets, because I opened up a little more and allowed that beautiful love story to come true, ‘said the professional carpenter to Viall.

“Without a doubt, I self-sabotaged the situation,” said Morais.

‘And leaving [of being] divorced three years or more, it was a very, very difficult time for me. And there were definitely a lot of moments when I thought, ‘Will I ever get married again? Will I fall in love again and give my heart to someone? ‘

But looking back, Morais said he is happy that Adams found love.

“What makes me feel a little better about the situation is that I feel that what was about to happen has happened,” continued Morais.

‘… Just knowing how Zac was in love with Tayshia and seeing the mutual love they had for each other, I would say that she would have chosen Zac anyway.’

‘But if I ended that whole journey where Tayshia and I were and knowing I was even one percent doubtful about the whole thing, I probably couldn’t live with myself knowing that she may have missed the opportunity to fall madly I love this guy who love completely in every way, ‘he continued. ‘For that, I am grateful for the way it happened, and I feel it was meant to be.’

Still, if things don’t work out for the pair, Brendan said he would definitely like to see if he and Tayshia could date again.

Adams, who won the coveted Maiden title in a mid-season transition (after Clare Crawley gave up on finding love with Dale Moss), seems to have achieved his fairytale ending with addiction expert Zac Clark, 36 .

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter last week about their post-television relationship, the couple discussed some challenges related to quarantine after filming.

With the pair on opposite sides, they had to keep the spark alive through FaceTime, with a few visits here and there, because of the pandemic.

‘A long-distance relationship is difficult, even without COVID. So we’ve definitely done well in the past four months as a couple; we have to learn from each other. But, at the same time, we had the struggles of a normal relationship, with people who are at a distance or just to get to know each other. ‘

Revealing an episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Adams said, ‘I’m going to be bicastal. I will keep my place here [in California], but yes, let’s move in together! ‘

Touching her and Zac’s love during the season, she said: ‘There were several moments when I found myself imagining a life with him. I think it really solidified when my family was involved, just because I’m very close to my family. ‘

Clark and Adams established an immediate connection in some episodes of the franchise and related on a deeper level, since both had been previously married.

After Zac revealed his worrying story about the addiction and broke the walls, he had it against Tayshia and he fell in love with each other.

Her strong bond culminated with Adams sending the second suitor home before the proposal, since she knew it was only Zac from whom she wanted to accept the proposal.

The one: Adams sent home his other suitor Ben before the proposal, as she knew in her heart that Clark was the only one after the two expressed their love for each other.
