With Chris Harrison moving away to Matt James“The ‘After the Final Rose’ ceremony is on the air who will take its place – but we learned that it could be someone outside the franchise.
Sources directly familiar with the production tell TMZ … ABC seems to be looking for someone who is not part of the ‘Bachelor’ nation to replace Harrison for the rapidly approaching footage. This means that there are no ex-singles, singles or their suitors … no matter how popular they are.
Essentially, our sources say the producers now seem to be eyeing someone unrelated to the series – but who is still part of ABC’s talent pool. That said, they tried an alum.
We were told Rachel Lindsay – the first black Bachelorette – was asked to take the mantle, but she refused. She publicly suggested that they consider sports analyst FS1 Emmanuel I think – who is not only black, but also frank in matters of race. Let’s face it, this will be an important topic when the cameras rotate to ‘ATFR’.

Despite Rachel’s endorsement, Emmanuel’s representative told us that no one has approached them yet.
Fans have also been clamoring for Tayshia Adams – the second black Bachelorette – to take Harrison’s place. She has been talking openly about the series’s racist controversy lately, but the producers haven’t hired her

It is unclear whether ABC is looking specifically for a POC for this show – but all signs seem to point to this being highly regarded. It will be a sensitive episode … not just because of Harrison’s rush, but a potential confrontation between Matt and Rachael Kirkconnell, who claim to be the winner.
Matt has already touched the range of emotions he’s feeling right now – and only time will tell how it plays out in front of a live audience. Stay tuned …
