Avengers: Endgame originally had a post-credits scene from Vision, reveals Paul Bettany

While the new Disney Plus series WandaVision continues the adventures of Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany), it seems that Vision almost had a post-credits scene in Avengers: Endgame.

Olsen and Bettany were promoting WandaVision, which continues its first season with a new episode on January 22, in an Ask Each Other Anything segment for IMDB on Tuesday.

Olsen asked Bettany what Vision’s chances were of returning to the MCU, before revealing that there was a ‘tag’ with Vision.

‘I was between 10 and 15 percent. At a certain point, there would be a label where you (Scarlet Witch) would open a kind of drawer for corpse bags and there was the Vision – began Bettany.

Ultimately, he was approached by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who told him, ‘I have to pull the shots.’

‘And I said,’ Ugh! ‘Because I really wanted that share of the profits! ‘Bettany joked.

Bettany has been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since its inception, first providing the voice of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) AIJARVIS in Iron Man before becoming Vision.

Like many of the MCU’s original stars, Paul Bettany’s Marvel contract was signed with Avengers: Endgame, with the actor originally believing it was the end of the road with his MCU journey, until it wasn’t.

‘He called me and said,’ Can you come into the office? ‘You know, when the boss calls you and your contract runs out, you kind of know what it is about,’ added Bettany.
