“At some point, there would be a tag, where [Scarlet Witch] opened a kind of body bag drawer and there was the Vision, “explained Bettany in the section ‘Ask Anything to Others’.”[Marvel Studios boss] Kevin [Feige] kind of talked to me and said, ‘I have to pull the shots.’ And I said, ‘Ugh!’ Because I really wanted that share of the profits! “
Despite not making an appearance in Avengers: Endgame, the Android Avenger resurfaced at the opening of MCU phase 4, WandaVision, which debuted at Disney + last Friday. However, the first two episodes of the MCU sitcom focused more heavily on setting up and introducing the program’s high-concept ideas than the plot, which means we’re not much clearer about Vision’s return.
Whether it all happens in Wanda’s mind, or the cinematic incarnation of the Scarlet Witch finds a way to alter reality, we suspect it will not have a happy ending. With Wanda’s involvement in the Doctor Strange sequel, Multiverse of Madness, the Scarlet Witch may even end up as broken as she was for a while in the comics when the series comes to an end.
