Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young questioned a move by Memphis Grizzlies guard Grayson Allen in Saturday’s game, apparently feeling that Allen intentionally tried to take him down.
Young was coming out of a screen while Allen followed and his feet tangled, with Young stumbling over the piece a little.
“Damn … tell me what you are seeing !! Smh,”
“> Young tweeted on Sunday. “this has to stop.! #ifyoudontknownowyouknow”
Allen has a reputation for deceiving opponents since his time at Duke. In 2017, coach Mike Krzyzewski disciplined Allen for repeated stumbling incidents.
Allen sarcastically replied to Young on Twitter: “Damn, it must have hurt a lot. I’m sorry. I hope you’re okay.”
Allen and Young have a little history. The two committed double technical fouls in a preseason game this year. Before that, Young and Allen fought in a summer league game in 2018 as newbies.
Visitor Hawks defeated the Grizzlies 122-112 on Saturday, with Young setting the game’s record with 36 points and nine assists.
