Hammer played Serena van der Woodsen’s love interest, Gabriel Edwards, during the second season of the show that aired in 2008-2009.

In the clip, taken from a special episode of Watch what happens live with Andy Cohen, an audience member asks Hammer, “On Gossip Girl, who was the greatest diva on the set? “

“I wish I could take all my ‘passes’ back and use them now,” Hammer began, wishing he could skip the question completely.

“Let me just say, it was a difficult program to shoot – and I didn’t actually finish shooting all the episodes that I was supposed to, because it was very difficult.”

“Same?” Asked Cohen. “Literally, did you say, ‘Get me out of this’?” Hammer then replied, “It was also like, ‘Get him out of here'”.

After Hammer mentioned that Blake Lively represented his love interest in the show, co-guest Chelsea Handler replied, “It looks like she was the problem,” to which Cohen said, “Certainly, yes!”

“No, no, that’s not what I’m saying,” replied Hammer quickly. “Don’t put words in his mouth,” Handler joked, to which Hammer said, “Because my foot is already there.”

As previously reported, Hammer released a statement abandoning J.Lo’s next film Forced marriage: “I am not responding to these shitty allegations, but in light of the wicked and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot, in good conscience, leave my children for 4 months to make a film in the Dominican Republic.
