Ariel Pink fell through the label for going to Trump’s rally

Indie music star Ariel Pink was pulled from her record label after attending President Trump’s rally – although he denies breaking into the Capitol, saying he was taking a nap.

Label Mexican Summer made the announcement on Friday amid a backlash after “Baby” boasted of supporting Trump at Wednesday’s Washington, DC rally that preceded the riots.

“Due to recent events, Mexican Summer and his team decided to end our working relationship with Ariel Rosenberg, also known as Ariel Pink, going forward,” New York-based label tweeted Friday.

The singer had openly anticipated a reaction, although he insisted he was sleeping when the protesters invaded the Capitol.

“I went to the rally on the lawn of the white house, went back to the hotel and took a nap. case closed ”, he tweeted Thursday of his support at the rally alongside independent musician John Maus, insisting that he was against “violent clashes or riots”.

“Save yourself, friends, cancel me now and give it to me before they come after you, ”he tweeted about his reaction on Thursday – also saying: “Vote for Trump.”

The decision to dismiss him just for his political inclinations was quickly touted as “canceling culture” at its worst and “book prejudice”.

“He went to a rally for the love of God”, a supporter replied to his former record label, while others noted that he had not been accused of anything illegal.

“Abandoning a great artist for saying what you think says more about your label than about the artist,” a fan wrote.

“You are crushing the open mind, restricting free thinkers and promoting a culture that inhibits creativity.”

Others even suggested it was “Clearly illegal.”

“Do you fire someone with different beliefs?” asked a commentator, suggesting that he opened a “clear case” for the Los Angeles singer.
