Are the Young Avengers coming to the MCU? Kevin Feige offers a new vision

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige evaluated the possibility of a spin-off of the Avengers of the Young Avengers, forming in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although, as is usually the case with Feige, he did not answer the question in a yes or no way. But he at least approached the subject and did not dismiss it, which is something.

Kevin Feige is currently promoting The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which recently debuted on Disney +. During a recent interview, he was asked about the Young Avengers and whether or not we’ll see the younger hero team at some point below the line in the MCU. Here’s what Feige had to say about it.

“As a fan of comics, anything in the comics is always our inspiration and our guide. How these things come together and in what way, is always subverting expectations, it’s always half the fun when meeting them. But, yes, you you can certainly see that Phase 4 is introducing all kinds of new types of characters with infinite potential. Now, all of us at Marvel Studios feel like Nick Fury at the end of Iron Man 1, as new actors and performers arrive and we count them are part of a larger universe. They just now need to do the necessary work to build their audience. [I] I can’t wait to show them the world. “

Kevin Feige, in 2019 after Endgame was released, confirmed that Avengers 5 would happen at some point. At the time, he said, “it will be a very different team than the one we saw before.” The Young Avengers seem to fit the bill. The group debuted on the pages of Marvel Comics in 2005. They are a relatively new group, at least compared to The Avengers, which debuted in 1963. But that has no bearing on whether or not the MCU will be inspired by those particular comics. A good story is a good story. A good idea is a good idea.

Many of the pieces for this potential franchise are already being put in place. For one, WandaVision introduced Tommy and Billy, the superpowered children of Wanda and Vision. But his status remains in doubt after the show is over. Hawkeye he is also set to introduce us to Kate Bishop, with Hailee Steinfeld playing the part. In addition, we have Mrs. Marvel arriving at Disney + and America, Chávez is about to make his debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And to top it off, Kathryn Newton is playing Scott Lang’s daughter, Cassie Lang, in Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania. In the comics, Cassie becomes a hero called Stature.

Looking at this, it is easy to see how the Young Avengers can form over Phase 4 and Phase 5 of the MCU. Whether or not this is the direction in which things are flowing is yet to be seen. But if fans respond to these characters, the chances are sure to increase. This news comes to us via Entertainment Weekly.
