Archie speaks on Meghan and Harry’s podcast

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (aka Duke and Duchess of Sussex) launched their first podcast on Tuesday, a holiday special with a wide variety of high-profile guests and a special appearance by their 1-year-old son Archie deity.

Archie appears at the end of the episode and, with the encouragement of his parents, wishes his listeners a happy new year.

The duke and duchess – who present themselves as “Harry” and “Meghan” – presented the first episode of their exclusive Spotify Archewell Audio company.

The holiday special features a “special collection of inspiration, reflection and perspective” from 13 guests that Sussex describe as “people who inspire us [and] people we admire. “It is a very diverse list that includes Sir Elton John, Deepak Chopra, tennis player Naomi Osaka, chef José Andrés, author Matt Haig, producer Tyler Perry, professor Brené Brown and voting activist Stacey Abrams.

“We asked them to record audio diaries and send them back to us,” said Harry. “We were curious to know what they reflected when they had a moment to themselves without navigating the sometimes weird dance of a video chat. That is, no one had to say ‘You are dumb’ over and over again, which is probably one of the defining phrases 2020. ”

The appearance on Archie’s podcast was only the third time that the Sussex shared their son with the public in 2020.

They recently released the family Christmas card, which features an illustration of Harry and Meghan with Archie and their two dogs, and in May, they released a video of Meghan reading to Archie – full name Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor – to mark her first birthday .

Harry and Meghan fiercely protect their son’s privacy. The couple recently won a lawsuit against a paparazzi photo agency that took photos of Archie at his California home by drone.
