Apple Watch saves the life of a New Hampshire teacher after he fell into a frozen lake

NEW HAMPSHIRE – A New Hampshire professor is crediting his Apple Watch for saving his life.

William Rogers fell on the ice over the weekend while skating on a frozen lake.

He was struggling to get out, but the ice kept breaking.

After about 10 minutes he started to suffer from hypothermia, but that was when he remembered his Apple Watch and was able to call 911.

“I told them I probably had 10 minutes before I was no longer able to respond,” said Rogers.

The firefighters were able to contact Rogers five minutes after his call.
