Anne Hathaway was the ninth choice for The Devil Wears Prada

There are some “what ifs” in Hollywood history that so fundamentally reshape their view of what the world might have been like, that reality itself suddenly seems painfully malleable; you are no longer on solid ground. That’s how many RuPaul’s Drag Race spectators sure did feel last night when Anne Hathaway made a special appearance via Zoom (an Emmy for her luminous ring, please) and revealed that she was hardly cast as Andy in The devil Wears Prada. After an agonizing in-house drama in Drag Race when Rosé had to audition for her colleagues to play the role of “Foxy” in “Social Media the Unverified Rusical”, she asked Hathaway, “Of your many film roles, were there any that you had to, like, fight tightly nail to? “Hathaway replied with a very hot dose of oolong:“ I’m going to give you some tea. I was the ninth choice for The devil Wears Prada.“The shock of everything! Hathaway does not say who the first eight choices are, nor who she had to poison to get the part (kidding, kidding), but she says, “But I did, hang on, never! To give! Above! “Let’s not spoil who ended up winning this episode of Drag Race, but we will just say that when Anne Hathaway shares inspirational stories and Hollywood tea, magical things happen.
