Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper put a touch of social distance in their post-broadcast broadcast this new year.
The dynamic duo was back in the saddle this year, hosting the live New Year’s Eve show for CNN in Times Square.
And after the work was over, they had a virtual gabfest with none other than the music heartthrob John Mayer, 43, Andy revealed on his Instagram page.

‘So … after the show we went to the center for snacks and a Kiki w / @johnmayer. (AC refused another drop of tequila; I didn’t,) ‘wrote Andy.
‘We knew it would be a strange night, but I had a lot of fun walking with all of you virtually and I always had a lot of fun with Anderson,’ he said.
Next to a photo of the virtual chat, Andy wrote: ‘A lot of gratitude this morning and I hope we can restart in 2021. (And yes, I have a bit of a hangover.)’
Anderson and Andy were in Times Square, as usual, for the CNN program, but, unlike previous years, there were no crowds below due to coronavirus blocks.

Andy is a close friend of John for a long time, even traveling to Brazil to be with the singer on his 40th birthday, which occurred while he was touring there.
Although he and Andy joked about romance rumors, John is straight and has dated stars like Jessica Simpson, Katy Perry Jennifer Aniston.

During the furor, Anderson called his joke ‘disgusting’ and CNN fired him, after which Andy slipped into her place and has been there ever since.
