Some Android apps are crashing for some people now, but Google is working on a fix. The problem is due to a system component called Android System WebView, which allows Android applications to display web content, but there is some kind of problem at the moment that is causing the applications to crash.
“We are aware of an issue with WebView that causes some applications on Android to crash,” Google said in a statement to Engadget. “We are currently working to fully validate the scope and a correction is in progress.”
Some users are saying that removing the latest WebView update should fix the problem – and, in fact, Samsung’s official support Twitter account in the USA recommends taking that exact step.
Hi! Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Remove the update from Webview and restart the phone. Here are the steps: Go to settings> apps> tap the three dots in the upper right corner> show system apps> search for the Android WebView system> select Uninstall updates. ^ Nina

Google also recognizes problems with Gmail on Android on the Google Workspace status page. The company recommends using the desktop interface until problems are resolved.
