Amanda Kloots says she’s ready for therapy after Nick Cordero’s death

As she started her new job on Monday as one of the full-time co-hosts for “The Talk”, she reflected over the weekend on how to deal with the death of her husband, actor Nick Cordero, from Covid-19 in July.

“The New Year has been difficult, extremely difficult for me. I cried more recently than some time ago,” she wrote in a note in the history part of her verified Instagram account. “I thought Christmas would be difficult, that was worse.”

She wrote that the holiday inspires people to “want a blank slate or forget last year, esp 2020”, but noted “I can’t forget last year and I won’t be able to clean that slate”.

“I also think I’m a little scared of what can happen in a year, how much things can change,” she wrote. “” Finally, I think that everything I’ve been through is finally catching up with me and I’m finally ready to go to therapy to deal with the trauma. ”

Kloots used her social media account to document her husband’s month-long battle with the virus, including leg amputation. She also shared her pain in the same way and addressed it in her note over the weekend.

“Being honest, recognizing all of this instead of hiding, helped me,” she wrote. “I hope it helps you.”
