Destruction AllStars has all the bells and whistles you would expect a modern multiplayer game to have: customizable player profiles, multiple currencies and quick mix. However, he commits a deadly sin: there is no universal option to silence the voice chat. With the DualSense controller shipped with an integrated microphone, you can imagine chaos.
First, if you are not aware, is a way to silence your opponents with voice on a match-by-match basis: press the PlayStation button when you are in a lobby, scroll to the voice chat activity card and press the square button. It is not a particularly elegant solution – you will need to repeat this for each game you play – but it will save you a headache if you go through the hassle.
We are sure that this is something that Lucid Games will be investigating and, hopefully, can fix an option for those who wish to disable the feature. Obviously, it would be great if we all lived in a world where strangers could get together and communicate calmly with each other – but, well, we all know that is not the case, is it?
