In the wake of last week’s violent uprising on Capitol Hill by a pro-Trump crowd, some companies are severing ties with the Trump Organization.

On January 6, the Capitol was blocked as thousands of Trump supporters descended on the building, resulting in chaos, damage and violence. At least five people died.

In the wake of the rebellion, politicians – including the Republican minority leader in the House, Kevin McCarthy – spoke about the president’s responsibility for inciting violence. Prominent business leaders, including Apple CEO Tim Cook and Google CEO Sundar Pichai, also spoke out against the siege; Business Roundtable released a statement appealing to the president to “end chaos”.

Platforms including Twitter and Facebook have now banned the president’s accounts. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey broke the silence about the ban last night, saying it sets a “dangerous precedent”.

In a historic vote on Wednesday, Trump became the first president to be impeached by Congress twice. If he is convicted by the Senate (a decision requiring a two-thirds majority), they can vote if they prevent him from taking office again.

But some actions went beyond declarations: companies and other entities are cutting their financial connections with Trump and the Trump Organization.

In the wake of the insurrection and impeachment, some groups previously affiliated with the Trump Organization are choosing to sever ties. The Trump Organization did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.

Here are all the companies and entities that have publicly separated from the Trump Organization so far.
