Alex Trebek’s daughter Nicky remembers her father after his final episode aired: ‘Jeopardy! Forever!’

Alex Trebek’s daughter Nicky Trebek is honoring her father the day after afternoon Danger! the host’s final episode aired.

“Danger! Forever!” Nicky wrote in a Facebook post, which she captured in a screenshot and posted to her Instagram account on Saturday. In the caption, she added “You were extraordinary !!!” and the hashtag #wemissyoudad.

In his Instagram stories, Nicky continued to celebrate his father, who presented Danger! since 1984, even after announcing his cancer diagnosis in March 2019. Nicky shared a video montage of his father playing on Danger! set, along with a photo of Alex raising his fist in the air as he left the stage.

Alex, 80, died of pancreatic cancer on November 8, in stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Friday’s episode featured a series of tributes to the beloved host. A montage of funny moments included Trebek making jokes, exchanging lines and even walking into the studio without pants, Yahoo Entertainment previously reported. The show ended with cuts from Alex saying “See you later!” over the years, before leaving the stage. A final message said, “Dedicated to Alex Trebek, forever in our hearts, always our inspiration.”

In November, the program announced that several interim presenters would assume the role of presenter as soon as Trebek’s pre-recorded episodes aired. Ken Jennings the Danger! champion who now works as a consulting producer, will be one of the invited hosts, as will Katie Couric.
