Alabama guard Josh Primo was eliminated on Saturday, but could return later

Alabama guard Josh Primo is out of Saturday’s game against Tennessee with a sprained left MCL, the school said.

Primo is considered everyday and may return soon depending on your progress.

The freshman arrived on the court at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville about an hour before the SEC’s Alabama men’s basketball tournament semifinal game, using a crutch and a rigid brace over his left leg.

Primo, a SEC freshman who started early in the season, injured his left knee in the second half of Friday’s quarter-final victory over the state of Mississippi.

Tennessee striker John Fulkerson is out of Saturday’s game because of a concussion and facial fracture he suffered when he elbowed Florida’s Omar Payne in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Alabama is trying to advance to its first participation in an SEC tournament championship since 2002. It has not won the tournament since 1991.
