“Agents of SHIELD” actress Chloe Bennet revealed that her test was positive for COVID-19 and had severe symptoms.
Bennet, 28, shared the news with his more than 2.6 million Instagram followers on New Year’s Eve, Entertainment Tonight reported.
“On Christmas morning, I woke up with a high fever and unable to breathe. I took the test and I’m positive for COVID-19,” wrote Bennet in his Instagram story.
“It has been a difficult week to say the least,” wrote Bennet, adding that “several members” of his family have also been infected and are “fighting together”.
Although Bennet assured fans that she was “fine”, she encouraged them to remain diligent about the virus and to take it seriously.

“I am sharing this because I want to repeat it to anyone who is not yet taking lust seriously, please, please, f —— do it. Covid sucks. It really sucks,” wrote Bennet.
“I am proud to stay healthy, I always used a mask, I distanced myself socially, I took all the necessary care and even then I was VERY sick”, he wrote. “And I am one of the lucky ones … I am young, healthy and zealous for my health and this virus has even dropped me and continues to do so.”
Bennet starred as Daisy Johnson, aka Quake, in Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” and appeared on the series from 2013 to 2020. The long-running program aired its last season last summer after being canceled, Newsweek reported. .
She is one of several celebrities, including Tom Hanks and Pink, who tested positive for COVID-19 this year.
In the United States, the coronavirus infected more than 19 million people and killed 339,000, reports COVIDTracking.
The country recorded more than 3,900 deaths on Wednesday, making it the deadliest day since the coronavirus pandemic began. The United States has started distributing vaccination, but public health experts fear that the next round, for the elderly and essential workers, could become chaotic.
