AEW Rewind: Young Bucks confronts Omega, Taz’s surprise for Sting, more!

Don’t have time to follow all of AEW’s online content? Do not worry. We help you with AEW Rewind, which will rewind through previous week’s social media bits and YouTube videos to prepare you for Wednesday night Dynamite.

Last week in Dynamite, Don Callis made an exchange for the Good Brothers to replace the Young Bucks as partners with Kenny Omega in the action of the trios. The opening scene of Being the Elite addressed this issue.

“Duped” – Being The Elite, Ep. 239 highlighted:

  • The Young Bucks were angry that they were replaced by the Good Brothers. Kenny Omega said he did not know about the change. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows also claimed ignorance. They were just going over to the Impact recording trying to get a payment. They never want to fight in any way. Nick Jackson bought that logic. The fingers were pointed at Don Callis. As long as it was not planned by Omega or the Good Brothers, then Bucks is fine with them. After Omega and the Good Brothers left, Bucks said they thought they were lying 100%.
  • Stu Grayson was on the phone trying to get a horse made out of chocolate. The rest of the Order of Darkness planned the celebration party before Hangman Page entered the Order of Darkness. The executioner came in, but they shouted for him to leave. The Order of Darkness did not want to spoil the surprise.
  • Allie and Brandon Cutler were friendly in the hall, so they both grimaced at each other’s backs.
  • Private Party was mad at Matt Hardy for making them look stupid. Hardy was angry at the disrespect, calling him a money grabbing carny. Still, Hardy will guide you to success. The most important thing is that the Private Party wins the match in Dingy by any means necessary.
  • Kris Statlander kidnapped Brian Pillman Jr. for testing.
  • Peter Avalon and Leva Bates shared a strange conversation as former associates.
  • Statlander told Pillman to say, “I look at an inclined king sofa.” (I’m a fucking idiot.) Pillman was agitated about calling himself stupid, so Statlander kicked him out.
  • Luchasaurus tried to steal a glue when Cutler got in the way. A bit of small talk followed before the match in Dingy.
  • Bates admitted to Kip Sabian that she let him win in video games. Sabian refused to believe this and challenged her to another duel.
  • John Silver successfully maintained the BTE championship against Alex Reynolds in a Beer Pong game. Instead of ping-pong balls, they had to use water bottle caps.
  • The Bucks were leaving their spacious new dressing room when Hardy came in asking for payment due to the contract that Matt Jackson signed last week. Hardy took all the money out of his wallets, which totaled $ 1,000. In addition, the contract stated that Hardy is the only one who can have the room key. Jackson was confused, as he was sure he signed a blank sheet of paper. The Bucks have ruled this out, since they are determined to live on money.

The first scene of BTE is important to watch, since these things don’t seem to be explained very well in Dynamite. However, the end result did not advance the story much. At least, everyone is registered to place the blame on Don Callis. This is some progress.

As for other odds from last week, Taz has a surprise for Sting to balance the odds.

Newcomer to becoming the No. 1 contender for the Impact tag titles last night, Private Party looked like kings with Matt Hardy leading the charge. Private Party is to love the life of private planes and tiny bottles of drink. Matt they trust.

Private Party is not the only one that is rising in the world. Cody Rhodes became a bus guy.

PWI has distributed some of its annual awards for 2020 to AEW winners. Orange Cassidy took the Most Popular Wrestler home. It was the happiest Cassidy has ever been.

The Young Bucks were interviewed about winning the Match of the Year title against Hangman Page and Kenny Omega. Matt Jackson shared a story of Sting’s praise for the fight.

We will close with a small programming note. AEW Dark It’s now available in Spanish on YouTube on Sundays at 10am ET.

Who do you think orchestrated the switch of the Elite tag team? If the Taz team shows up with baseball bats Dynamite, so what should be the next armament progression in this dispute?
