Adobe adds collaborative tool to Photoshop and Illustrator

Quarantined meme makers and besieged graphic designers can quietly rejoice that Adobe is making it easier to work together on some of its core products.

It is a small adjustment of quality of life, but if you use Photoshop, Illustrator or Fresco and work with other people, the “Invite to edit” button will likely become part of your daily life. Adobe announced the feature on Tuesday, and should have already been implemented in users’ updated apps. Just look up in the right corner of the interface and you will see a button similar to this:

Clicking the button opens a field to invite a collaborator through his email address. A successful connection will share the document within the program between several parties, but unfortunately, only one person can work on it at a time.

Still, it’s better to send and resend and resend FINALforReal7.psd via email whenever a team member makes a small adjustment. And the version history is compatible with collaborative documents.

Adobe has also added the ability to synchronize brushes, samples, gradients, patterns, styles and shapes on devices with your Creative Cloud account.

The new features are now available for desktop, iPad and iPhone applications.
