Accusations of sexual misconduct by Deshaun Watson are on the rise, the lawyer says he has spoken to 24 women

Deshaun Watson faces 13 civil suits, with at least one more on the way, as allegations of sexual misconduct against the Houston Texans quarterback continue to grow.

Six more lawsuits were filed against him in Harris County, Texas, on Monday. Four were featured earlier in the day, with two more appearing later on the court’s website.

The claims are all very similar. Watson is accused of exposing himself to various massage therapists and making them feel uncomfortable. He also faces sexual assault charges in at least two of the lawsuits, allegedly trying to force two massage therapists to give him oral sex.

Two of the alleged incidents declared in the lawsuits occurred this year, including one this month.

Tony Buzbee, the lawyer who represents women in the lawsuits, said FOX 26 Houston on Monday night the total number of complaints reached 14 and that he talked to 24 women in total about filing lawsuits against Watson. He revealed at a news conference on Friday that he talked to at least 10 other women who were still wondering whether to sue the star quarterback.

Watson was not charged criminally, although Buzbee said his company would send an information packet to the Houston Police Department and the Houston public prosecutor.

Watson’s lawyer, Rusty Hardin, said on Friday that he plans to respond to claims made against his client next week.

“I am extremely proud to represent Deshaun Watson and fully support him against what we believe are accusations without merit,” said Hardin in a statement. “However, we will wait to comment in detail until we have completed our review of Mr. Buzbee’s numerous evolving claims. We will respond next week and ask you to keep an open mind until we do.”

Watson has not publicly commented on the allegations since the first one last week. The NFL is investigating and the Texans said they were cooperating.
