Abigail Breslin recommends using a coronavirus mask after her father’s diagnosis: ‘No one should go through this’

“Zombieland” actress Abigail Breslin shared some strong advice with her followers on social media about masks and the pandemic.

In an Instagram memo, Breslin, 24, told his fans that his father is battling the new coronavirus on Friday.

“This is me saying that if you asked my dad: a mask is MUCH less uncomfortable than a fan,” wrote Breslin. “So strong. And wear your damn mask. Please. Nobody should be going through this.”

The actress also expressed similar feelings on her official Twitter account, which has more than 219,400 followers.

Two days before Breslin urged her 527,000 Instagram followers to wear their masks when they left, she asked them to pray and send positive thoughts to her father.

“Hi guys. Unfortunately, this post is not something I ever thought I would have to do. I am asking for prayers and positivity sent in this way to my father, Michael, who tested positive for COVID-19 and this morning had to be put in a fan, “Breslin wrote in a previous Instagram post on Wednesday. “We remain positive and we know that he is in great care. I am extremely grateful to the nurses and doctors who are working hard to ensure that he fights the virus.”

“I have faith that things will change at any moment, but in the meantime, please continue to wear your masks and follow the COVID protocol,” she concluded her post at the time.

Breslin’s previous post received several responses from famous friends who expressed words of support.

“Oh, Abbie! I’m praying for him and for all of you. I can’t imagine how scary and painful it is not to be able to visit him,” commented Breslin’s co-star in “Dirty Dancing” (2017) Debra Messing. “I am sending you and him all the love and healing.”

Singer and songwriter Avery shared a personal story to encourage Breslin, who detailed how her grandfather survived a coronavirus infection last year.

“My grandfather almost died of COVID last year. He was in terrible shape and the doctors said it was very unlikely that he would survive, but HE DIED and is alive and thriving today, ”wrote Avery. “I believe that your positive attitude played a big role in overcoming it, so I am sending lots and lots of positive vibes and I love your way.”
