Former New York Giants greats Michael Strahan turned his football fame into a lucrative media career. The defensive side of the Hall of Fame, which retired after the Giants won the Super Bowl XLII over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in February 2008, is ubiquitous on American television today. Most notably, Strahan served as a studio analyst on FOX NFL Sunday and co-hosted ABC’s Good Morning America.
Now, it appears that ABC is trying to leverage Strahan’s magnetic personality, naming him as a possible replacement for presenter Chris Harrison in his popular ‘Bachelor’ franchise.

“The recording of the After the Final Rose ceremony was postponed until ABC could find the perfect host. Rachel Lindsay was the first choice, but she refused. Then, they looked at several other ex-singles, singles or suitors of the show, but in the end, they decided that this show was very important for the future of the franchise ”, OK! original dishes. “They needed someone who was not only popular and charming, but also had a huge live TV experience – that’s why they want Michael Strahan.
“There is so much concern about the future of the program within ABC,” added the source. “If they didn’t understand this episode properly, they could kill the dairy cow. There is talk of recording the program instead of doing it live ”.
For those unaware of the controversy surrounding the show, the franchise is looking for a new host after Harrison stepped down on February 13, after facing criticism for defending a competitor who was accused of racism.
Strahan made a big impact on his post-football career. According to the Celebrity Net Worth website, Strahan has a net worth of $ 65 million and earns an average of $ 17 million a year.
This is much more than what he earned playing in the NFL. Over his 15-year career – all with the Giants starting in 1993 – Strahan has won a total of $ 76.3 million.
