The company in Kenansville, North Carolina, requested animal control of Sisu, a large stray dog, because of his repeated robberies. He had gone to the store five times to steal the same stuffed unicorn.
However, instead of being left empty-handed, the County Animal Control officer from Dublin who picked him up ended up buying the toy for Sisu.
The department posted photos on social media on Monday, of him hugging his coveted treasure at the county animal shelter, and his story quickly went viral.
“This is what happens when you consistently invade the general dollar to steal the purple unicorn you claimed, but then you get the animal control called to arrest you for your B & E and theft, but the officer buys your item to you and bring it with you “, says the Facebook post.
Because he became a famous criminal, Sisu and his unicorn were quickly adopted a day later, according to Animal Services.
