COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (KRDO) – Scheels, a new sporting goods store in the Interquest area, opens today, Saturday, March 27.
Similar to Cabelas or Ikea, Scheels is more than just an ordinary store.
Customers will be able to enjoy an indoor ferris wheel, which spins 20 meters above the center of the store, interactive feeding of fish and treats from the Fuzziwig candy factory.
According to Scheels, there will also be 75 specialty stores within the store, ranging from designer sunglasses to hard-to-find sports equipment.
In a Facebook post, Scheels wrote: “It was a rewarding journey, seeing the Colorado Springs SCHEELS store and a phenomenal team of people getting together. The ferris wheel will start operating on Monday, March 29. Due to the high national demand for ammunition, Scheels will limit the amount that each individual can buy to three boxes.
The store is expected to create 350 new jobs in the Colorado Springs area.
