Erin Hershey, a soap opera actress famous for “General Hospital”, didn’t want her children to tune in Joe Bidenthe inauguration … telling a teacher that she would never let them “watch a criminal”.
Erin has a daughter at California elementary school, and after the girl’s teacher sent an email to her parents on Wednesday inviting the kids to skip class to attend Induction Day, she responded with some unpleasant comments about the new Prez.
According to the e-mail chain, obtained by TMZ, Erin blew up for the teacher and her fellow parents … “Why watch a criminal on television? I would never do that to my children. But thanks.”
Another father ran in defense of the teacher in the e-mail chain, thanking her for considering the families they wanted observe the historical moment and sparking Erin’s wrath by writing, “No matter who takes office, we’re lucky to be able to watch moments like this.”
Erin responded quickly with another answer, saying … “I don’t think we’re lucky to watch a brazen joke.”
The soap opera actress tells TMZ … she answers her emails and doesn’t regret sending them. That said … the fact is that Joe Biden is NOT a criminal. And, it is her choice if she wants her children to see the opening. What a pity … the children may have been inspired by many people who were in the front and center, including Amanda Gorman.
