Police are investigating a hidden camera that contained dozens of videos containing underage girls after being hidden in a bathroom at a Tennessee gym.
A GoPro camera was found inside a bathroom and locker room at the facilities of Premier Athletics, which trains young cheerleaders, gymnasts and dancers, Franklin police said on Thursday. Videos of 60 women in various states of nudity, most of them minor, were found on the cameras.
“Detectives believe the suspect has been placing the camera intermittently to capture the video in the bathroom since September,” said police.
It does not appear that any other bathrooms or private areas on the premises had hidden cameras, according to the police. Authorities have identified 47 of those who have been secretly recorded and are in the process of notifying parents, the department said.
The police have not identified any suspects, but hope to release more information as soon as the charges are brought.
An email sent to an address advertised on the Premier Athletics website has been marked as undeliverable. The corporate office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NBC News.
