2. Family picnic:
The documentary also shows the queen and her family having a picnic while out on a lake. Philip and Anne prepare and go to the barbecue, grilled sausages and large pieces of steak, while Andrew asks his father what the spatula is for, or “spoon”, as he calls it.
The little boy is later seen sitting and lying face down on the roof of the family car, shouting happily: “I went up on the roof, Daddy!”
Charles prepares a salad that he helped to prepare and talks to his mother. He says, “I cut the lettuce.” At the prince’s request to taste the sauce, the queen dips her finger in the liquid, licks it and declares that it is too “oily”.
“The salad is ready,” the queen says to her husband later. He looks at his rare steak and says, “Great. This one, as you see, is not.”
3. Merry Christmas:
In another scene, the family trims a giant Christmas tree. Anne sternly tells Andrew to come down a ladder, which he loudly refuses.
