The 49ers have already announced their coordinators after Robert Saleh and Mike LaFleur left for the Jets. Now they have announced the rest of their coaching staff for the club’s fifth year under coach Kyle Shanahan.

Many of the movements have been reported previously. But Johnny Holland is now the coach of the club’s linebackers again. He played that role in 2017 – Shanahan’s first season – but has moved on to coach external linebackers and racing games specialist for the past three seasons with DeMeco Ryans training internal linebackers.

Ryans is now the team’s defensive coordinator, replacing Saleh.

Chris Foerster is now on his third stint as a coach on the 49ers offensive line, previously serving in the 2009-2009 role and in 2015. He was a San Francisco game planning assistant from 2019-2020.

Bobby Slowik has also been promoted from offensive assistant, a role he has played for the past two years, to offensive passing game specialist.

San Francisco officially named James Bettcher senior defensive assistant / racing game specialist, defensive coach Rich Scangarello, defensive pass game specialist / secondary coach Cory Undlin, Butch Barry’s offensive line assistant coach, Leonard offensive quality control coach Hankerson, assistant coach for special teams Matthew Harper, Andrew Hayes-Stoker defensive quality control technician, quality control technician Klay Kubiak, quality control technician for special teams by August Mangin and assistant defensive line coach for Darryl Tapp.
