HOUSTON – Four people, including a suspect in shooting, are killed in a SWAT scene in Harris County, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said on Wednesday.
Delegates said they were dispatched to block 14300 on Lourdes Drive after receiving a call from a woman around 3:15 am saying she had been shot.
When the police arrived at the scene, they started to approach the residence and an unknown suspect shot them, investigators said.
According to HCSO, the suspect barricaded himself inside the residence. The police officers present at the scene were heard by a megaphone saying: “Louis, leave the house. We are here to help you, not hurt you. “
Throughout the investigation, deputies discovered that there were other people in the house. Gonzalez said that when they managed to enter the house after hearing a shot, they found two women and two men dead. The deputies believe that one of the men was the suspect.
According to investigators, homicide-suicide stems from domestic violence. Gonzalez said the suspect, a 49-year-old man, was in a relationship with one of the women. The man has younger children, but they were not at home during the incident, deputies said.
