You love or hate the fresh look of the 2022 G70.

Whether you love or hate the 2022 Genesis G70new looks (I love them), the Korean luxury brand is almost ready to fill the dealerships with them. But, before the standard G70 arrives, the company first has what you see here: the G70 Launch Edition. The new model appeared on the brand’s website this weekend with a link to book one of the 500 sedans it plans to build on this specification.
There is not much that differentiates it from a standard G70, but it is a very desirable specification in my books. Above all, the car only comes with the optional 3.3-liter turbocharged V6, which combines with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Genesis, unfortunately, dropped the manual transmission option for your sports sedan – the capture rate was predictably very low.
You can choose this package in the rear or all-wheel drive versions and then select one of the two exclusive paint colors. G70 Launch Edition sedans can boast either a Melbourne Gray or a Verbier White; both have a matte finish. Finally, the sedan uses a set of lightweight 19-inch wheels with multiple spokes to give it a more sporty feel.
That is good.
Genesis
Inside, Genesis dresses the cabin with an exclusive Obsidian Black and Sevilla Red look. It looks very, very good with the white or gray exterior paint. The standard equipment is expected to include the vast majority of the Sport Prestige finish equipment list, but Genesis has not released the final specifications. We still don’t know how much one of these Korean machines will cost. All the brand says after filling out the reservation request is that a dealer will contact you when the company is ready to dispatch them.
In addition to the revamped appearance, Genesis also launched a new set of driver modes on the 2022 G70 and a much-appreciated revised infotainment system. And if the launch edition isn’t for you, there are several other models, alongside a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. We should see the launch of the new car soon.
