2021 babies born in the New Year in Chicago area hospitals

CHICAGO (WLS) – Hospitals across the Chicago area welcomed the first babies of 2021 on New Year’s Day.

One of the first babies of the new year was Maverick, son of the residents of Crete, Kratia and Marlon Franco, at 12:01 pm on Friday at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Maverick weighs 7 pounds and 6 ounces and is 50 inches long. He is now one of the seven brothers.

Baby Boy Canniff, whose name has yet to be decided, was born at 12.05 at Advocate Condell Medical Center, the son of Bridget and John Canniff. They are “excited to start the new year with a lot of joy!” It weighs 6 pounds and 11 ounces and is 18 inches long. He has two brothers in Grayslake.

Madelyn Jessica was born at 12:41 pm at Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital, daughter of Michael and Nicole Woltcheck, of Chicago. It weighs 7 pounds and 9 ounces and is 19.5 inches long.

Baby Girl Gonzalez was born at 1:04 am to Angelica Gonzalez and Andrew Spence at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. It weighs 3 pounds and 3 ounces and is from Mundelein.

Javien was born at 1h08, the son of Joseline Cuevas and Jean Rivera at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. He is 6 pounds and 11 ounces and has three brothers in Chicago.

Baby Declyn was born in Sydney and Nicholas Walden of Glenview at 5:28 am. She was born with 7 pounds and 5 ounces at NorthShore Evanston Hospital, and is the couple’s first daughter.
