Trump reportedly acknowledged that he is partly to blame for the Capitol riots
President Trump acknowledged that he is somewhat to blame for his supporters’ decision to invade the U.S. Capitol last week in a conversation with Republican Party leader Kevin McCarthy, according to reports. However, the president has not publicly accepted any responsibility for the Capitol disturbances. Almost 24 hours after the riots, Trump released a video condemning violence and illegality on Capitol Hill, although he did not blame it.
