Created in 2016 as a portal for short and humorous clips, TikTok has recently become synonymous with something much more sinister: viral challenges from the internet.
Open the video sharing app and you will inevitably see opportunistic idiots risking their reputations and even bodies on camera for influence on social media – as if Snapchat was created by the “Jackass” guys.
On the most notorious feat recently, a TikTokker woman ended up in the hospital after trying to comb her hair with gorilla glue.
Unfortunately, the app’s eyeball search algorithm makes it extremely difficult for these often harmful trends to be eliminated at the root before they spread across the Internet.
To help readers know what to avoid, we’ve compiled a list of challenges so ridiculous that we may want to reconsider the ban on TikTok.
1. Gorilla Glue girl
This may not be a challenge in itself. However, Louisiana’s Tessica Brown undoubtedly cemented her place on Mount Rushmore from TikTok’s stupidity after spreading Gorilla Glue in her hair and having to surgically fix it during a four-hour procedure.
Unfortunately, this cautionary tale may not last, as the Brown patch accident earned her $ 20,000 in donations, hundreds of free hair products and even a full-time agent – not to mention an unfortunate impersonator.

4. Facial wax challenge
Complete facial hair removal is the new beauty fad, with videos of the procedure accumulating millions of views on TikTok.
The procedure, demonstrated here by the Kapsalon Freedom barber shop in the Netherlands, involves covering a patient’s face – including his eyes – with sticky green wax as if he were casting a mold for the horror film “House of Wax”. They even have waxed cotton swabs stuck in their nose to extract uncomfortable nasal hair. When finished, the dishonest beautician removes the mass of beauty from the entire person’s face like a mask of a murderous villain.
Skin experts call the process traumatic “for the skin, especially in sensitive areas, such as those located around the eyes”.
5. Creamy erection plumper
TikTok beauticians have redefined the posture of keeping your upper lip stiff after trying to fill your breasts with erection cream on camera. While an influencer was successful in inflating his squeamish ones in lifeboat proportions, he had to stop the feat early due to the burning sensation.
Meanwhile, doctors said the hack is “totally ridiculous and can be extremely dangerous”, adding that the “temporary” procedure can lead to adverse reactions, including pain, swelling and blisters, as well as fluctuations in blood pressure and “possible problems” cardiac “.
6. Corn cob challenge

The action makes the person fall to the ground, falling on his back and hitting his head in the process.
Not only did the alarming trend lead to injuries in Miami, New Jersey and Arizona, but police in Daytona Beach, Florida, accused two high school teenagers of assault and cyberbullying after an incident there. In addition, two students in Mexico made their own version of the “skullbreaker”, but reportedly used a sweater instead of their feet to make a girl make a facial plant.
Doctors unsurprisingly condemned the practice for its potential to cause “serious and life-threatening injuries”, ranging from “skull fracture to paralysis and death”.
9. Penny Challenge
This shocking fashion involves slipping a penny behind a partially connected phone charger, as seen in several viral videos circulating on YouTube and TikTok.
Although the prank may seem innocuous, the coin can hit metal pins, causing “sparks, damage to the electrical system and, in some cases, fire,” warned Massachusetts fireman Peter J. Ostroskey in a statement issued last year.

This ridiculous TikTok trend involved teenage drivers veering off the road like maniacs in time with the acrobatic dance anthem, first released 20 years ago by DJ Casper, known as Mr. C The Slide Man.
Despite the obvious risks, the trend took TikTok by surprise, causing several near misses among the participants. “The car almost overturned,” says the caption for a video of a TikTokker doing the maneuver with friends.
TikTok warns viewers in several clips that “the action in this video can result in serious injury”.
12. Peeing in your pants challenge
Nothing to prevent coronavirus depression like a viral video leak, right? At least, that was what a bored announcer thought when he answered nature’s call on camera, inspiring dozens of other lonely TikTokkers to follow suit as a Pied Pee-per.
The #peeyourpantschallenge hashtag currently has rapidly gained 3.9 million views on TikTok, as well as a flurry of criticism from horrified commentators.
“People seriously need to get back to work soon. . . everyone went crazy ”, stammered one of them.
13. The poop challenge
In an even more unhealthy feat, these imprisoned parents spread excrement on their offspring and filmed their reactions of terror. “WTF” seemed to be the overwhelming answer.
14. Challenge of verbal abuse
These mothers and fathers shit their children figuratively, calling them “mistakes” and, in some cases, mentioning the word “abort”.
15. Flash mob
These mothers requested the block in a stimulating way, exposing their breasts to babies and recording their attractive reactions.
Called #DropEmOutChallenge, these playful mothers post their videos with the song “Drop ‘Em Out” by Wheeler Walker Jr. playing in the background. The lyrics of country music are particularly suitable for this game.

A 10-year-old girl in Italy tied a belt around her neck and accidentally choked in January. She was rushed to a hospital in Palermo, where doctors ended up declaring her brain death.
TikTok encouraged users to flag all account holders who are involved in the dangerous trend.
18. The “coronavirus challenge”
