16-year-old is accused of murder in the death of a SC teacher | News

ORANGEBURG – South Carolina deputies accused a second teenager of murder in the death of an Orangeburg teacher in 2020.

Orangeburg MPs said Karl Williams responded to a knock on his door on December 14. An armed man opened fire on him and fled, leaving the 49-year-old man bleeding.

Authorities arrested a suspect in January, accusing Aloysius Green Jr. of 18 years of murder. Another 18-year-old suspect, Calik Guinard, is behind bars in Florida, but will be extradited to face charges in the case, the sheriff’s department said.

At the latest stage of the investigation, MPs joined the US Marshals to arrest a 16-year-old boy in an Orangeburg condominium. He will face a family court judge for a likely cause hearing at a later date, officials said.
