Zooey Deschanel there is one person to thank for having done it until 2020: her boyfriend, Property Brothers Star Jonathan Scott.
On January 2, the 500 days of summer The star shared a photo of her with her sweetheart on Instagram, along with a sweet caption.
“My 2020 MVP was this guy, who always made me feel happy, despite being a strange and uncertain year,” she said. “Expect 2021 to be full of hope for everyone.”
Zooey credited her father Caleb Deschanel, a director and cinematographer who recently filmed the 2019 version of The Lion King, with taking the photo.
The actress surprised fans when she went out with the HGTV star in September 2019. Just two months later, Jonathan and Zooey made their red carpet debut at the Critics’ Choice Awards and, after that, spent the holidays together.
They were inseparable in 2020 and were not shy about sharing how much they mean to each other in the press. Months earlier, Zooey told Jonathan that he helped her through a difficult year – which included dealing with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic – the reality TV personality also praised the actress.
