Zooey Deschanel looks unrecognizable without the characteristic fringe

When was the last time you saw Zooey Deschanel without her characteristic fringe?

The ex-star of “New Girl” went to Instagram to mock herself and show once and for all that yes, she has a forehead after all these years combing her hair with bangs.

The 41-year-old actor took a selfie in the mirror with his hair parted in the middle, with no bangs obstructing his face. A text overlay on the photo said: “Proof that I have a forehead”.

“For all who doubt …” she wrote in the caption.

The fans joked with the comments that the selfie without fringe was actually Photoshop. Others couldn’t even recognize Deschanel without her signature look, which prompted a fan to bring up a phrase from the “New Girl” theme song to comment, “Who is this girl?”

“😂😂😂 it’s almost like when Superman turns into Clark Kent,” added another commentator.

One fan wrote hilariously, “I was actually reading and thinking ‘who is this non-poignant guy who kind of looks like @zooeydeschanel’?”

“Okay, Katy Perry, good try, bring Zooey back,” added a commentator, referring to Deschanel’s sincere resemblance to the pop star.

Even Deschanel’s boyfriend, “Property Brothers” star Jonathan Scott went into action, commenting: “Wait what ?! 😳 ”

Scott and Deschanel have been strengthening during the pandemic of a year and a half in their relationship. He shared a lovely photo of the couple on March 15, where he called Deschanel his “perfect person”.

Scott shared a black and white selfie of the pair on Instagram with Scott wearing a cap and Deschanel wearing a straw hat.

“What a perfect day with my perfect person,” he wrote in the caption, adding the hashtags, “#BackToNature #SunnySkiesAhead”.

The couple met for the first time in August 2019 on the set of “Carpool Karaoke” and started dating shortly thereafter. During the early stages of their relationship, the pair spent most of last year in quarantine, giving Scott the title “MVP 2020”.

To celebrate the new year, Deschanel posted a sweet photo on Instagram on January 2 of her hugging Scott, taken by none other than her father, Caleb Deschanel.

“My 2020 MVP was this guy, who always made me feel happy, despite a strange and uncertain year,” she wrote in the caption. “Expecting 2021 to be full of hope for everyone.”
