It’s 2021 and love is fading into the New Year’s air so far – at least for a celebrity couple.
Zoë Kravitz filed for divorce from actor Karl Glusman after 18 months of marriage.
The Kravitz representative confirmed the news For people on Saturday. Although the news began to circulate widely on January 3, coincidentally Glusman’s 32nd birthday (!!!), the paperwork was filed on December 23rd.
Romantic for the first time in 2016, Kravitz and Glusman were married in June 2019 in a star-studded ceremony in Paris, France.

In typical relaxed Kravitz style, the actress had announced to Rolling Stone that she was engaged to Glusman months after the fact in 2018. In addition to the guest list, other details of the wedding were kept confidential – especially the visuals. In fact, fans were unable to see these visuals until Kravitz decided to share them at the end of the year, while reflecting on the entire year 2019.
While those Wedding photos were still on Kravitz’s Instagram page at the time of posting this blog, her future ex-husband erased all evidence of her relationship with your own page. Still, Kravitz was not quiet at his end. Along with several IG posts with messages that suggest a new start (captioning a series of photos with “new year / little things”), Stylecaster recorded a message in their IG stories, which seemed to be directed at Glusman.
Stylecaster reports:
What did Kravitz do after the news of his divorce? Well, she took her stories on Instagram with an obscure meme that seemed to be addressed to her ex-husband soon. O High Fidelity alum posted a meme of a drag queen throwing a bag of trash into a trash can. In the bag were the words: “People, places and things that no longer serve my greatest and greatest good”. Kravitz also added the photo caption, “Humor”.
In addition, Kravitz posted a year-end IG photo with a caption that may refer to the disillusionment of his marriage, but can also be considered identifiable content for all:
“Bye 2020. You fucking freak,” Big Little Lies star wrote. You never lied, Zoë.
