About 1.5 years after marrying Karl Glusman in a secret ceremony, Zoë Kravitz filed for divorce. A Kravitz representative “exclusively” confirmed the separation for People on Saturday.
The actors were allegedly hired by a mutual friend sometime in 2016, and made their relationship public in October of that year. They got engaged in February 2018, a venture that Kravitz casually announced for Rolling Stone in a cover story that ran months after the fact. “Ah, yes, I’m engaged,” she replied after the writer pointed to his ring. “I haven’t told anyone yet – I mean, I haven’t told the world. I wanted to keep it private. “
Kravitz and Glusman – best known for their role in the film Love – got married (with the same calmness) in a civil ceremony sometime in the spring of 2019. Then, in July 2019, they threw a big party in the Parisian mansion of the father of the bride (musician Lenny Kravitz, famous for the scarf big). This was a very elegant event, with the presence of almost all Kravitz’s Big Little Lies co-stars – Laura Dern, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley were all there; Meryl Streep would be absent. Kravitz certainly looked the most elegant of all, wearing a white bra and bicycle shorts under a beaded crochet dress for the rehearsal dinner.
None of the actors publicly confirmed the divorce, although according to People, Glusman removed all of Kravitz’s photos (and all of his old photos) from his Instagram account. Meanwhile, Us Weekly reports that the High Fidelity star made an “enigmatic” post for his stories (labeling a meme about dumping “people in places and things that no longer serve my greatest good” with the word “humor”) on Saturday. No word yet on who’s going to keep custody of your dog, Scout.
